125 - The Life Issue

The Life Issue: Photography/ Fashion/ Art/ Style/ Design/ Visual Culture

Today I took a walk to the my local Park and stopped at the only store near me that carries Frieze and Art Monthly. Oddly they had neither of the magazines I wanted but I did find this treasure. Ive never read 125 Magazine before but this issue seemed to have everything I could want in a magazine. A combination of art, photography and fashion? Yes Please! I bought it straight away and had to share it with you. Here are a few snapshots of my favorite pages.

Theo Gosselin & FUCKT

Happy Saturday Everyone.

Today I ventured outside despite being sick. It was just too beautiful and hot outside not to. I took a trip to Foyles, which is a little dangerous for me (Some woman are shoe addicts, I'm a book addict.)

Here is a beautiful book I found called Avec Le Coeur.
"With Heart"
by the photographer Theo Gosselin.

If you are interested In buying this book snap it up quick as there is a limited edition of five hundred copies.
This is copy 160

I also bought an interesting art magazine I hadn't seen before.

Cut rose

Sick Day

I tend to get sick once or twice a year. When I do I seem to forget how horrible being sick the last time was. So this time around I've decided to be prepared: flowers to cheer me up, three different types of cough syrup, a steady supply of lockets and chicken noodle soup. I've even gotten out the futon and am using the comfy Egyptian cotton sheets.  So far its been pretty good day despite feeling like a big ball of Phlegm. Even though being sick sucks its awesome not having to feel bad about doing absolutely nothing and lounging all day.

House Whites

The light was beautiful this morning. I'm not sure why I decided to take photos of my sheets, but I find these photos quite beautiful.

Beatrice Oettinger

 Good Morning Dear reader,
I'm sorry I haven't updated recently, I've just returned from basking in the sun at Glastonbury Festival along with 200'000 other care-free hippys. After spending the last five days living on a field London is feeling a little claustrophobic. Its times like these that I really wish I had a flat with a garden....  Alas I will have to do with buying flowers and throwing the windows open.

Anyways, Here is some art from the textile sculptor Beatrice Oettinger that has been inspiring me this morning.

You can find Beatrice's work Here:
