How to make a homemade stylus

YOU WILL NEED:

1. DISASSEMBLE YOUR PEN AND REMOVE ALL THE PARTS FROM THE INSIDE OF IT AND THEN REASSEMBLE.

2. CUT YOUR Q-TIP IN HALF AND PUSH IT THROUGH THE HOLE AT THE TIP OF THE PEN.

3. TAPE BOTTOM OF Q-TIP TO THE PEN.

4. WRAP YOUR FOIL AROUND THE TOP OF THE PEN AND Q-TIP. MAKE SURE THE FOIL IS TOUCHING THE Q-TIP COTTON-BALL.

5. TAPE YOUR FOIL TO THE PEN TO SECURE IT. YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU LEAVE ENOUGH FOIL EXPOSED TO BE TOUCHING IT WHEN YOU USE THE STYLUS. IF YOU ARE NOT TOUCHING THE FOIL THE STYLUS WILL NOT WORK.

6. TAKE A DROP OF WATER ON YOUR FINGER AND LIGHTLY DAMP THE EXPOSED  Q-TIP.

7. IF YOUR STYLUS STOPS WORKING CHECK THAT THE Q-TIP IS STILL DAMP AND THAT THE FOIL IS TOUCHING THE DAMP Q-TIP.

YOUR STYLUS SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS:

(In this picture you cant see the exposed tip, but it is there! Please make sure the Q-tip is the only part touching your screen as the foil will scratch it :D)

IPAD DRAWINGS

These are from a series of David Hockney's Ipad Drawings. Though they are quite simple they are a great example of the world of digital media and art on the go. They are  drawn on the Brushes 3 App available for Ipad and Iphone. I gave the app a try last night on my Iphone and here is the result:

Not quite as good as Hockney's but I can see the appeal of the app. Brushes 3 is free and comes with a variety of different Brushes, textures, sizes and colours. Switching through them can be a bit tedious, but being able to draw with your fingers is very satisfying.

Snow Day

Making cupcakes on a snow-day :D

There is nothing better than making yummy treats on a lazy day. When it snows in London the city grinds to a halt and its nice to stay in and do a lot of nothing. I wish i could say these cupcakes were made from scratch, but alas, they are Sainsbury's own vanilla cupcake mix and ready-made Betty Crocker frosting. Here is a wonderful video i used by HOW TO COOK THAT on YouTube which shows you how to pipe cream without needing a nozzle.

Check it out---->
